We worship cult films\, practice wine & beer sacrifices\, offer a ritual of initiation for emerging filmmakers\, and bring unique artistic voices from Canada and around the world to local screens. \nVFF is open to all forms of creative media\, but it is deathly allergic to clichés. Every February\, we roust hibernating Victorians and islanders\, roll out the pink carpet for the sheer glam of it\, and throw a 10-day film festival across the city. \nMission\n\nThe mission of the Victoria Film Festival: Impossible.\nWhy?\nThe mission of the Victoria Film Festival is to stimulate critical analysis and inspire individuals to recognize and utilize film as a creative tool.\nNah\, you’re right\, it’s Impossible – but we’re giving it a go anyway. Wheeeeeeeeee!\n\nVision\nWe do not look at the world through pink-coloured glasses\, we simply see it as pink as a leaf\, as blue as an orange\, and as rainbowy as our ideas.
