DESCRIPTION:Venice\, Italy\n  \nABOUT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL\n\n\n\n\nThe 82nd Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera. It will run on the Lido di Venezia from 27 August to 6 September 2025. The Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association). \n\n\nThe aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms as art\, entertainment and as an industry\, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. One section is devoted to enhance the restoration works on classic films as a contribution towards a better understanding of the history of cinema. \n\n\n\n\n  \nDEADLINES & FEES\nOpening Submission Date\nFebruary 3\, 2025 \nEvent Date\nAugust 27 - September 9\, 2025 \n  \nSUBMISSIONS\nSubmissions for feature films\, short films and immersive projects to the 81st Venice International Film Festival will open on 3 February 2025. \nSUBMISSION FOR FEATURE FILMS\nDeadline: 13 June\nSubmission fee:  € 200 until 31 May / € 250 from 1 June \nSUBMISSION FOR SHORT FILMS\nDeadline: 31 May\nSubmission fee:  € 80 until 30 April / € 100 from 1 May / Film schools: € 250 for a maximum of 10 submissions \nSUBMISSION FOR IMMERSIVE PROJECTS\nDeadline: 8 May\nSubmission fee:  € 200 until 30 April / € 250 from 1 May \n  \nOnly feature and short films presented as world premieres\, and immersive projects presented as world or international premiere\, are eligible.
