SUMMARY:Telluride Film Festival Submission Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Telluride\, Colorado\nUnited States\n  \nABOUT THE TELLURIDE FILM FESTIVAL\nEach Labor Day weekend\, the tiny mountain village of Telluride\, Colorado triples in size for the Telluride Film Festival. Swells of passionate film enthusiasts flood the town for four days of total cinematic immersion\, embarking on a viewing odyssey\, blissfully spending entire days in flickering dark rooms. With only an appreciation of celluloid to guide them\, these devotees flock to the show\, year after year. Why? Blind faith. We don’t reveal the program until everyone lands in town. Yet the Telluride family trusts that a unique experience will unfold. \nThe Telluride Film Festival is not just a picture show. It is Tributes to luminaries who've propelled the medium forward; it is candid discussions with a film’s creator or the historian who champions it; it is discovering that the person in line behind you made the film you just enjoyed; it is engaging in lively debate with every manner of film lover in the summer sun of a Colorado afternoon\, always minutes away from a new exhibition. Our audiences were the first in the world to laugh with JUNO\, to observe THE LIVES OF OTHERS\, to visit BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN\, to learn the secret of THE CRYING GAME\, to experience BLUE VELVET\, and to witness THE CIVIL WAR. We resurrected the silent epic NAPOLEON\, and highlighted the genius of animator Chuck Jones. \nWe take great pains to remain not a competition\, but a celebration of the best in film — past\, present and future — from all around the world. This is one weekend immersed in an unabashed carnival of film: viewing\, breathing\, eating\, and talking cinema. This is The SHOW. \n  \nGENERAL INFORMATION\nDeadline: Feature\, Student and Short films must be submitted no earlier than April 15th \, and no later than July 1st\, 2025. Early or late entries will not be accepted. \nSubmit as early as possible! Once the submission period is open\, submitting as early as possible not only allows more time for consideration\, but you will also not run the risk of missing the deadline. No late submissions will be considered at all. \nFinish line: All submissions (for all catagories) must have been completed after last year's submission deadline of July 1st\, 2024 . We will only accept works-in-progress with picture lock. Please note that we do NOT accept updated versions. \nScreening Status: With very rare exceptions\, feature length films (60 minutes or longer) will only be considered if they are to have their first North American screenings at TFF. Any domestic public exposure prior to our Labor Day event may preclude the work from eligibility. (This applies mainly to features\, we’re not so sticky about short films. However\, we do not accept shorts that have been released online prior to the Festival.) \nSubmission Method: All films must be submitted via a secure URL link and made accessible through August 1st\, 2024. All films submitted must be downloadable. The Telluride Film Festival is committed to the privacy and creative property of all filmmakers\, and downloads will be shared internally for programming consideration purposes only. If there are changes to the accessibility of your link\, you must contact the Festival ASAP via email: submissions@telluridefilmfestival.org \nPresentation Format: If your film is accepted for exhibition\, Telluride Film Festival accepts 35mm and DCP for screenings. \nFestival Notification: Final program determinations will be made by August 1st. SUMMARY:Telluride Film Festival Open For Submissions
You will be notified in writing by the first week of August whether your film has been invited to screen with us or not. Except in emergencies\, please do not call the Festival office for disposition. \nImportant reminder for all Filmmaker's submissions: If your film is accepted\, invitations may be sent as late as the first week of August. Please provide all the requested contact information\, especially where and how we can contact the Filmmakers themselves at that time! \n  \nDEADLINES & FEES\nOpening Submission Date\nApril 15\, 2025 \nNotification Date\nAugust 1\, 2025 \nEvent Date\nAugust 29  - September 1\, 2025 \n  \n\n\n\n\nDeadline\n\n\nFeature Films (60 mins. or longer)\nJuly 1\, 2025: $95\n\n\nShort Films (40-59 minutes)\nJuly 1\, 2025: $85\n\n\nShort Films (20-39 Minutes)\nJuly 1\, 2025: $65\n\n\nShort Films (19 Minutes and less)\nJuly 1\, 2025: $45\n\n\nStudent Films (All Lengths)\nJuly 1\, 2025: $35\n\n\n\n  \nVisit the Telluride Film Festival website for more information. \n  \n\n\nVIEW THE EVENT CALENDAR\n  \n
