ABOUT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
The 82nd Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera. It will run on the Lido di Venezia from 27 August to 6 September 2025. The Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. One section is devoted to enhance the restoration works on classic films as a contribution towards a better understanding of the history of cinema.

SUBMISSIONS
Submissions for feature films, short films and immersive projects to the 81st Venice International Film Festival will open on 3 February 2025.
SUBMISSION FOR FEATURE FILMS
Deadline: 13 June
Submission fee: € 200 until 31 May / € 250 from 1 June
SUBMISSION FOR SHORT FILMS
Deadline: 31 May
Submission fee: € 80 until 30 April / € 100 from 1 May / Film schools: € 250 for a maximum of 10 submissions
SUBMISSION FOR IMMERSIVE PROJECTS
Deadline: 8 May
Submission fee: € 200 until 30 April / € 250 from 1 May
Only feature and short films presented as world premieres, and immersive projects presented as world or international premiere, are eligible. All works must have been completed after September 7, 2024.
